Strap On Your Heels & Dance, Girl!

DALLAS -- Strap on those heels and head on over to Millennium Dance Studio. This week, we got sassy at a super sensual heels class taught by none other than celebrity choreographer, Danielle Polanco.

"I realized that when you wear heels, your posture changes, your confidence changes, the way you walk the way you talk, everything changes," said Arati Chakraborty, owner of Millennium Dance Complex.

Each week students fill in to Millennium to Jessica "J'samone" Hill's beginner or advance stiletto dance class.

"The model of my class is a place where women of all ages, shapes and sizes and ethnicities can connect to their feminine energy with no fear, and I really try to create a comfortable environment for women to come in an express their sensuality," says Hill, heels teacher at Millennium Dance Complex.

Polanco dropped in to teach a special class to a room filled of dancers ready to learn from the choreographer responsible for Beyonce's "Partition."

For Polanco, teaching heels classes allows her to share what she had to learn through many years of experience with dancers looking to break through in the industry.

"Its been a challenge to just learn it immediately and to immediately know how to dance in heels and I thought to myself, why don't I teach and give someone all the lessons that I didn't get to get," said Polanco.

As a woman, strutting in heels seems hard enough, but dancing in them, well, that's an art form. Femmeology.
