FRISCO, TX – Nowadays it`s nothing but good news for the citizens of Cowboys nation. On Sunday, with Dez Bryant on the sidelines, Dak Prescott, and the Cowboys were still able to x-out the competition to get their third consecutive win and move up to second in the NFC East but there might be at least one person who`s not celebrating.
Remember Tony Romo? You know, the guy who was the quarterback before Prescott took over the team? Well now it`s been reported that the Cowboys are targeting a week 8 return for Romo which would pit him against the Philadelphia Eagles; the same team Romo broke his collarbone against last season.
The question is, with Dak doing so well, will the team be willing to bench him and let Tony take the field? Jerry Jones has assured that Romo will return as the starter once he’s healthy but what happens if Romo returns and stumbles out the blocks? Would the ‘Boys decide to rough it out with Romo or give the keys to the car back to Prescott?
That`s all unknown but one thing`s more certain: if Romo comes back and gets re-injured there`s a possibility it`d be his last season with the star on his helmet. So here`s to hoping Romo can come back bigger and stronger, and avoid too many mistakes. If not, he may be forced into playing for another team or retiring altogether.
