WEST LONG BRANCH, NJ -- It's long been known that if you want to stay friends with someone -- steer clear of talking politics. Well, a recent poll out of Monmouth University confirms it.

Nearly 10% of voters say they've lost or ended a friendship because of this year's presidential race.

And 70% of voters believe this year's campaign has brought out the worse in people, which is easy to believe. We’ve seen an anti-Trump slogan made out of cow manure and people being caught red-handed stealing yard signs.

And in Richardson, a family claims someone killed their dog because they had Hillary signs in their yard.

With 66% of voters describing themselves as dissatisfied with Washington, maybe we'd all find more friends by posting a "Everyone Sucks" sign in our yards.
