DALLAS -- Next time you head past the Dallas Zoo, you might notice a couple of new statues standing tall next to the iconic giraffe.

A pair of life-size elephant sculptures have been installed at the zoo's front entrance.

Their trunks are intertwined, to symbolize the loving bond often shared between the gentle giants.
