A Redskin his first four seasons, Alfred Morris now gets ready to take on his old team as a rival Dallas Cowboy.

FRISCO — The Cowboys gear up for a huge week two showdown against the rival Redskins, as both NFC East squads look to avoid 0-2 starts. But do the Boys have a secret weapon in this Sunday’s showdown?

We’re talking about Alfred Morris, who for the last 4 years anchored the Washington backfield. So is having a guy who knows the enemy’s playbook, coach, and quarterback’s split second tendencies an advantage on the field?

“Well anything you can use to get an advantage you use it and Alfred is definitely insightful on specific players and what they’re style is and their techniques so you definitely take advantage of that,” said tight end Jason Witten.

“Kind of what he did and ran there is kind of what he’s running here so every day we line up against him and he’s a terrific back,” Rod Marinelli, the team’s defensive coordinator, commented.

Terrific is right, especially against the Cowboys. He averaged 88 yards and a touchdown in every game he played against Dallas, so maybe the biggest advantage is that they won’t have to game plan for him this time!

Hey, having an insider is proven to work. Remember last season there were reports that DeMarco Murray was alerting the Eagles defense to the Cowboys play calls ahead of time in his homecoming to AT&T Stadium. So hopefully Morris can offer some of the same because facing down two straight division losses that might doom the whole season, Dallas can use anything it gets.
