NORTH TEXAS -- On September 11, 2001 hundreds were called upon to help.

Among those called to action were the New York fire fighters, many of which lost their lives saving someone else's.

In order to honor the brave ladder men of the Big Apple, Boom 94.5 and 97.9 The Beat set out on a fire station tour around DFW.

JKruz from 97.9 The Beat said, "We do this every single year; this is the fifteenth year anniversary so we're just back at it again, going to fire station to fire station all across the DFW Metroplex area. Being able to give back to these guys, especially on 9/11, on the 15th year anniversary, I mean it just feels good."
