Labor Day is Monday, and you know what that means: it’s a three-day weekend for many people. But what exactly is there to do this weekend in Dallas?
From a basketball game, to free yoga, and cheap admission at the Arboretum, there are a lot of fun activities to partake in this Labor Day weekend.
Here’s your list of 5 things to do in DFW this Labor Day weekend.
1. Labor Day Weekend at the Arboretum
We've been planting marigolds for some quick autumn color this week. This member of the Asteraceae family and relative of the sunflower typically has red, yellow, orange or maroon flowers. Essential oils extracted from the marigold are used in the cosmetic industry and dyes extracted from the flowers are used in the production of textiles and food. Many gardeners plant marigolds because of their ability to repel garden pests such as insects and rabbits. #dallasarboretum #horticulture
This weekend, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden will be offering a discounted Labor Day event. For just $5, everyone will be able to tour the beautiful sights the Arboretum has to offer.
There will also be $2 root beer floats and $2 hot dogs all day. You’ll also be able to purchase discounted parking vouchers online.
Your ticket during Labor Day weekend will also give you free admission to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden to help celebrate Roald Dahl’s 100th birthday.
For the kiddos, there will be a puppet show and story time on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10 a.m.
When: All weekend.
