Happy Dad, Happy Life?

DALLAS -- Over the years, traditional parent roles at home have changed. Until recently, many moms stayed at home while dads worked the forty hour work week and made the cameo at home from time to time with the kiddos.

But now more dads are picking up the tab when it comes to household responsibilities. More dads are also staying home. And families seem to be happier. At least, that's according to a new study.

"I think that as long as you can have a balance of a parent at the office but also the same amount of time at home it's a great way to go about it,” says Ellen Flowers, a Dallas resident.

The study points to the fact that when men bring home the bacon; it feels like an obligation having to be the breadwinners. Women, on the other hand, feel a sense of pride.  Not to mention it gets rid of parent stereotypes.

“It’s really unique to the couple and the quality of attention they want to give their children, and their love that they're showing through the quality of attention,” says Jennifer Seal.

Looks like the daddy daycare is in full effect.
