Spice of Blythe: Use Watermelon to Its Full Potential!

DALLAS -- I'm so excited, one of my favorite fruits is in season!  The watermelon!  They may be 99% water, but they're 100% delicious.  It's a summertime classic, but I can't help but feel people aren't using them to their full potential...

For instance, why buy them at the grocery store, when with a little TLC, you can grow them at home like we did!

And why cut them in half the boring way, when you can make a series of cuts at a bias and make a watermelon crown?

Once you have that sweet juicy meat cut up into cubes, you could eat it plain..... But you know that's not how we roll!  Throw 'em in a bowl with some pepperoni, salami, or prosciutto, some herbs, and a little kosher salt and olive oil, and enjoy a delicious, nutritious, and fabulous salad.

Now, you know we're going to find a way to work alcohol into this... Remember how watermelon is mostly water?  Well, that means it freezes.  And if it freezes, we can make an ice cube...  And if we have ice cubes, we can pour vodka over it!
