DALLAS -- The Rio Olympics are in the record books, and team USA did not disappoint when it came bringing home the gold. Landing back home today are two of Texas` favorite "flippers": Simone Biles and Madison Kocian. While Biles landed in Houston, it was Madison mayhem at DFW Airport.
“Coming back home to these girls is very special for me and for them as well so I`m very excited,” said Madison Kocian.
“It’s been really crazy with all the people that`s been here seeing Madison,” young gymnast Trinity Heath said.
But beyond the selfies and autographs, this girl doesn’t flip-flop when it comes to good advice.
“Just to never give up, you know there are tough days and injuries here and there so I think that`s the main message to keep believing in themselves and never give up,” said Kocian
Trinity`s Mom, Cyndi Heath, told NewsFix that Kocian is one of the many great role models that have come from the WOGA Gymnastics Academy in Plano. “It’s really special! She gets to go to a gym that there are so many Olympic champions so it`s really neat to bring her.”
Madison certainly had a spring in her step now that she’s home and somewhat of a reality a post-Rio real life. Her next "move" will be heading to college, at UCLA this semester.
