MCKINNEY -- When you think of boxing, you think of punching and uppercuts. But Title Boxing Clubs of DFW are promoting a more family-friendly workout for kids. too.

“Their favorite part is hitting bags, of course," Justine Poffel, owner of Title Boxing Club of McKinney, said.

Now, with school just around the corner, Title Boxing is giving back by stocking up on school supplies for kids in need. “The program's called ‘Feel the burn, help kids learn.’ We’re inviting all in our community, member, non-member alike to come in, bring a donation for the local school district. "It can be school supplies, book bags, paper, pencils, pens, highlighters," said Poffel.

Even though the pugilists look tough on the outside, boxers at the gym have a soft spot on the inside for kids in need of supplies. “I think it’s amazing. I mean I am proud to work out somewhere that gives back to the community like they do," said Tricia Holderbaum.

Title says  anyone who wants to donate while working up a sweat is invited to take a boxing class for free across all locations and drop off school supplies to benefit students in their own town. Some of their gyms are also collecting non-perishable food items through August 13 as well.
