America’s birthday falls on a Monday this year but that doesn’t mean you can’t get your celebration on early! Dallas is full of family friendly events on the 4th but the party starts early with these adults-only events happening in the days leading up to the liberty celebration. Here are 6 explosive events sure to get you in the patriotic mood!

Fireworks Over Sound

Head out to Fireworks Over Sound on Thursday for a mixture of EDM and laser lights. The lineup includes Johnny Funk, M.Vision, DJ Frequency and Haunt3r. Throw on your furry boots, tutus and glow sticks and get out there and celebrate the land of the free and the home of the ultimate party. Who could ask for a more explosive time?

When: 9 PM on June 30.

‘Merica the Beer-tiful

Are you a craft beer connoisseur? Do you live for all things ale? Then be sure to check out Texas Ale Project’s ‘Merica the Beer-tiful on Saturday, July 2nd. This celebration is full of craft ale and features the PIT COMMANDER BBQ and his BBQ trailer. Once you have your fill of bbq and booze try your hand at the water balloon toss or enter yourself in the corn hole tournament or search for photos in the photo scavenger hunt.

When: 1 PM on July 2.

4th of July Picnic at Billy Bob’s Ft. Worth

Enjoy an outlaw country party at Billy Bob’s and celebrate the old west side of America. Billy Bob’s host a 4th of July picnic with music by the Turnpike Troubadours, Shinyribs, Billy Joe Shaver, and Mike & the Moonpies. These bands will be sure to have you boot scootin’ and celebratin’ the Southern side of America. Billy Bob’s is a Fort Worth staple with a 4-Star restaurant and mechanical bull, all housed in an authentic western palace.

When: 6 PM on July 2nd.

4th of July Weekend at Blackfriar Pub

Blackfriar Pub has a huge party Sunday to ring in another year for the USA. Sip on some grapefruit margaritas or frozen mules, (both on special!) while you jam out to tunes on the porch from The O’s. This party gets started around 9:30 PM and goes on until the late night hours. Get here early and enjoy some brunch and great drink specials.

Barcadia’s Block Party

Love to play giant Jenga or are you a skilled ski-baller? Check out Barcadia’s Block Party going on celebration weekend. Barcadia pulls out all the stops on this red, white and blue celebration with jello shots, booze pops and $1 hot dogs! This rockin’ party brings together four venues, DJs, and specials on booze. Hop from bar to bar and dance the night away, be sure to get there early as this party starts at 5:00 PM!

Viva Dallas Burlesque’s Star Spangled Spectacular

If you are looking for a more risque way to celebrate our beautiful country, head out to Viva Dallas Burlesque’s Star Spangled Spectacular. Scantily clad ladies decked out in patriotic lingerie ring in this year’s celebrations as they dance their way to an American birthday celebration like none other. Make sure to get your tickets early as this show is guaranteed to sell out.

When: 8 PM on July 2.
