Now that gorgeous outdoor weather is upon us, it’s only natural to the seek the outdoors when seeking refreshment. A cool breeze and a colder beer can do wonders to improve a bad week. Where can you go in Dallas to find the hottest table for outdoor drinking? Don’t go to last year’s patio. Check out the next hot thing. We’ll draw you a map under the stars!
New Patio Goes Down Easy
Have you seen these iconic cans that top the patio at Deep Ellum Brewing Co.? Probably not, because the dust hasn’t even settled yet on the remodel that Lesli Marshall of Articulation Art and the 42 Murals Project just completed for them. They plan on adding extended hours sometime in mid-summer, as well as adding lunch to their menu since they finally added a kitchen!
Summertime Means Beach Volleyball
If you’re in the mood for some Uptown fun with beach volleyball and fruity cocktails, The Grove at Harwood is definitely your go-to spot. In addition to their 2 sand courts, they have hammocks to relax in, and classic patio seating. Top it off with all kinds of other outdoor games that pepper the lot, and you won’t have a dull moment!
Dive Into New Craft Bevs at Rooftop Pool
If you’ve never been to SODA Bar, the infinity pool bar with a skyline view atop the NYLO Hotel in Dallas’s South Side, it’s about time you scoot your booty over there. They’re ramping up their cocktail menu with a new Dallas Bar Star every month this summer. The first month Parliament’s Stephen Halpin will be creating signature Patron craft cocktails. Stay tuned cuz we got the scoop!
Honkin News at Truck Yard
Truck Yard will also be revving up their own engines this summer. Not only will they add wine to the menu (!!), but the good guests of Truck Yard will decide which ones! They’ve also plunked a bucket of mimosas on there (comes with guava, blood orange, orange, or pomegranate juice!) and parked a soft serve window by the bar to temper the heat.
Italian Picnic Con Vino
The concept for CiboDivino calls and beckons you to come cross the Trinity for a catered al fresco picnic. It’s an Italian market that also cooks fresh brick-oven pizza, scoops Paciugo’s, and devotes a lot of attention to bottled wine. Grab a pie, some vino, and a cup of gelato, and have yourself a delightful picnic on their ample lawn!
Get Lucky On The Patio
Trinity Grove houses some of the coolest new locations in Dallas, and LUCK is no exception. It doesn’t hurt that they source local for their entire menu, and their food tastes amazing. Just beyond the covered outdoor seating, they have a slew of Adirondack chairs and oversized games, like checkers!
Richardson Grows Its Own
Sure, Dallas has a lot of great outdoor concept bars, but did you know about Richardson Food Truck Yard, that has its own full bar? They even serve Jell-O shots, and that’s not a joke. The food trucks rotate each day, but the bar is constant. Watch out. This spot is so popular you may have to search a while for a table on Friday nights!
