DALLAS -- The State of Texas is firing back at President Obama's call for schools to let transgender kids use the bathroom they identify with. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is taking the case to court by suing the government.
"The State of Texas files a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Education and the Department of Justice," Paxton said Wednesday.
It's an emotional issue as parents in Fort Worth go back and forth over the school district's new policy.
"There are political forces who don't care if trans children pee, get beaten, live or die," said David Henderson.
And all that even though the bathroom issue wasn't on the agenda. So, no one was relieved.
