FORT WORTH -- He may not be much of a Cinderella story, but golf superstar Jordan Spieth drew quite a crowd Wednesday at the Colonial Pro-Am, where he partnered up with movie legend Bill Murray.

"It'll be a lot of fun today," Spieth told reporters before hitting the green. "I was excited to hear about the pairing."

Yeah, the pair teed off together in Fort Worth ahead of this weekend's Dean & Deluca Invitational.

Hey, maybe some hang time with one of the funniest people on the planet will help the boy wonder bounce back from that meltdown at this year's Masters, and a disappointing showing last weekend at the Byron Nelson?

"It's a good time now to really step things into gear," said Spieth. "Really try and keep putting ourselves in contention these next couple weeks as we get closer to the U.S. Open."

In the meantime, the hometown hero surely made a great teammate for the comedy legend.  So he's got that going for him, which is nice.

Yeah... we'll agree to disagree with Spieth on one thing: "Trying to hold back on the Caddyshack references today."
