DALLAS -- Who let the dogs out?! Despite a few sprinkles, the race was on Saturday morning at Trinity Groves for the SPCA's 11th Annual "Strut Your Mutt: Race to End Animal Cruelty."

Pups were decked out in adorable costumes, bright and bushy tailed, for the 3K Fun Run & 5K Walk.

Along with fun and games, the SPCA is all about business -- raising cash to help end animal cruelty once and for all! And Real Housewives of Dallas star, LeeAnne Locken, is right on board.

"Strut Your Mutt is all about ending animal abuse. And I have to say, I think that's the biggest thing we can do. Animals do not deserve to be abused ever," Locken told NewsFix. "Texas has always had an issue with stray animals and animals that are constantly ending up in shelters."

Animal cruelty is a huge problem in North Texas. The SPCA investigates more than 3,000 cases a year -- some resulting in people in the dog house.

This year's "Strut" raised more than $275,000. Doggone it, now that's something to wag your tail about!
