NORTH TEXAS -- We can all agree, it's a never-ending waiting game at the airport. And those TSA security lines are no joke. But the online campaign, #IHateTheWait could possibly change all that!

Airlines For America is using the power of social media to put a spotlight on a long wait time and get more TSA resources. The airline industry group wants you to snap a pic of the line and then post to Twitter with the hashtag.

Since Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the cities with the longest wait times, NewsFix decided to take a trip DFW International Airport. And just like we expected, the lines were pretty long. One woman told us she'd gotten to the airport two hours early but she still couldn't avoid the long lines.

People across the country are already taking advantage of the hashtag tweeting out pics with wait times over an hour!

There may be a silver lining to this problem.  Two US senators are suggesting airlines drop fees on checked luggage to speed up the screening process. They've already asked 12 airlines to consider the plan for the busy summer season.
