DALLAS — Police are investigating an early morning shooting at a Deep Ellum recording studio that left one man injured. Witnesses say a man rang the doorbell at Legacy Music Group before shooting through the door, hitting the victim.

Police say officers answered the shooting call just before 6 a.m. Wednesday morning at the 2800 block of Main Street, where several recording studios are housed. Dallas Fire Rescue took the victim to Baylor University Medical Center; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The suspect fled before police arrived. Witnesses were taken to Dallas Police Department.

The studio owner says he and several music producers were working on lyrics when the gunman opened fire. Recording studios at this Deep Ellum location include The Rock, Ferralog Recording Studio, and Legacy Music Group.
