As Princess Charlotte turns one-year-old May 2, her mother is just like any other proud mom. The Duchess of Cambridge has released four new photos, just in time for the princess’ first birthday, and Kate took the photos herself.

“The Duke and Duchess are very happy to be able to share these important family moments and hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as they do,” Kensington Palace said.

Catherine, known for her keen interest in photography, took the pictures of her daughter last month at Anmer Hall, the family’s residence in Norfolk, the palace tweeted.

In one of the pictures, the princess — who turns 1 on Monday — is shown walking assisted by a baby walker filled with blocks.

In another, she stands holding on to a chair with a blue bow in her hair.

The chubby-cheeked royal bears a strong resemblance to her brother, Prince George.

Earlier, the palace tweeted photographs of Catherine taken by British photographer Josh Olins in the Norfolk countryside. The photographs will feature in British Vogue to mark the magazine’s centenary.
