Death is in the air. It’s so palpable that you can feel it on “Arrow.” Since the Season 4 premiere, the show has promised a major death is coming and the time is drawing close. The person meeting their end will be revealed in the April 6 episode, “Eleven Fifty-Nine,” but who’s on the chopping block?

Producers have done a good job at keeping one of the biggest secrets in the show’s history. Unfortunately, that can be infuriating for fans who don’t have the patience to wait and see — like us.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the four biggest contenders for that spot six feet under to see who’s most likely to say goodbye in the next episode. Of course, these four don’t include Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards), who could very well be dead and a ghost haunting Oliver (Stephen Amell) in that flash forward to the limousine after the funeral.

Hey, anything can happen.

Thea Queen

It’s pretty easy to see why Thea could be the one in the grave. After all, she’s not even supposed to be alive. It was the Lazarus Pit that kept her going, even though it left her with that pesky blood lust that made things difficult for a while.

Still, Thea can only be described as “on borrowed time” at this point. look at it like you would the “Final Destination” franchise. You can cheat death, but it’s going to come back for you in a big way.

Quentin Lance

Sadly, Lance has been in bed with Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) this season and as many believe he’s the man behind the big death, a bit of revenge from the once-mystical monster doesn’t sound out of the question. The sad question is what kind of blowback will this have on Laurel or Donna Smoak — his current flame?

Laurel Lance

If killing Quentin would be good revenge, killing his child takes it to another level. Sara is off jumping around in time, leaving Laurel as the only real family Lance has. Not only would the death strike him hard, but it would also be a blow to Team Arrow. Laurel, as the Canary, is an invaluable member of the crew — and an important cog in this bizarre little friendship circle they have.

If it is Laurel that dies, not only will Lance be out for blood, but Team Arrow’s thirst for vengeance won’t be quenched until her killer is dead.

John Diggle

Calm down! We know it sucks, but it has to be said. What would be more devastating to fans and viewers than the death of an Original Team Arrow member? Long before a team of superheroes was saving Star City on a regular basis, Oliver, Felcity and Diggle were a force to be reckoned with.

Nobody wants to see Diggle die — of anyone really — but think back to that scene of Oliver and Felicity in the limo. There’s an ice cold venom in Felicity’s voice and it’s not all aimed at her former fiance. This death has rocked Felicity to her very core.

“Arrow” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
