LOS ANGELES — Jamie Foxx is talking about pulling a driver from his burning truck.

California Highway Patrol say 32-year-old Brett Kyle was speeding in his truck when it crashed in front of Foxx’s home Monday night, hitting a drainage pipe and concrete, rolling several times before catching fire, according to ABC7.

Foxx heard the crash and called 911 before running outside and using EMT scissors to free Kyle as the truck began to burn.

“I grabbed the scissors from him, cut the seatbelt but it’s on his neck,” Foxx said. “As we pull him out, within five seconds later the truck goes up.”

Kyle’s father thanked Foxx in person and spoke tearfully of the meeting. “It doesn’t matter to me who it was or what they do for a living,” he said. “Just the idea that someone would do that is so much more than I could fathom,” Brad Kyle said.

Remember, before he was Jamie Foxx he was Eric Marlon Bishop of Terrell, Texas.
