TARRANT COUNTY — Ethan and Tonya Couch’s Mexican misadventure is almost over, at least for now. Tarrant County deputies picked up the affluenza mom in LA and brought her back to DFW Thursday for her first court appearance in her hindering apprehension of a felon case.

Tarrant County Jail will be her new home, at least until she coughs up a million bucks in bail money.

"The DA's office will be coming at her like a freight train. They are holding her just as responsible as Ethan Couch, maybe more so," former prosecutor Toby Shook said.

It's another world from the life the Couches have known.

Ethan's dad's house, south of Burleson -- it's amazing what a little cash can do.

"Since the family has money, it seems they will do anything to try to keep him from being held accountable," Shook said.

Accountable for the deaths of four people in a drunk driving crash.

Accountable for showing up in a video at  party where people were drinking, a violation of his probation.

Accountable for running off to Mexico to avoid being arrested.

Ethan's lawyer has been checking up on him in jail in Mexico. Yeah, Americans aren't the only ones who can put on a media circus.

And now we're learning Ethan and Tonya had one more passenger on their Mexican misadventure. Their dog, Virgil, is still missing in Mexico. His picture is on the Puerto Vallarta SPCA's Facebook page.

But maybe, Virgil took the opportunity to get as far away as possible from these people.
