Women’s Health Magazine Says NO to Body Shaming

EMMAUS, PA -- Ladies, we've all read into it before. Phrases like "flat abs," "lean legs" and "look 5 years younger in just 5 minutes" plastered all over women's magazines. But, the real issue with these not-so-true tips is much deeper than the cover.

For years, women's magazines have used certain phrases they THOUGHT encouraged readers. Now, thanks to an online poll, Women's Health Magazine determined that was a lie! After surveying subscribers, the  magazine discovered it was actually doing more body shaming than encouraging.

Yep, Editor-in-Chief Amy Keller Laird says over half of their readers claimed terms like "drop two sizes" and "bikini body" were the most offensive.
