Class Act: North Dallas Senior First in Family to Graduate High School

DALLAS — Even in this day and age, there are still pioneers and trailblazers among us. Kaitlyn Contreras is one of them and that’s what makes her our Class Act of the Week, brought to you by the Law Office of LAWRH.

Kaitlyn is a senior at North Dallas High, and through the Mayors Intern Fellows Program, she landed an internship at Parkland Hospital. Her goal is to major in biology in college and go on to become a pediatrician where she wants to take help those in low-income nations.

Kaitlyn has been a huge part of her school’s Education is Freedom Program, which helps high schoolers prep and apply for college.

Those applications are a huge step for Kaitlyn. She’ll be the first person from her family to graduate high school and take on college life.

Well, whether she’s taking to first steps to college or taking her medical abilities to the under-served communities of the world, we’re sure Kaitlyn will keep on blazing those trails that life has in front of her.
