Raise the Dreidel! Hanukkah Begins Sunday at Sundown

NORTH DALLAS -- Hanukkah, Judaism’s festival of lights,or “Eight Crazy Nights” according to noted Jew Adam Sandler, begins Sunday at sundown.

To kick off the holidays, Congregation Toras Chaim hosted a Hanukkah party for the children of the congregation Sunday, put on by the congregation's Boy Scout Troop.

“Hannukkah is a celebration of being able to freely practice your religion and freedom of expression,” says Rabbi Yaakov Rich. “In today's international climate of terrorism, what we appreciate about the United States is the ability to practice our religion with openness and with joy.”
