FORT WORTH -- This just might be the coolest field trip ever! Students at Meadowbrook Elementary in Fort Worth packed the school bus and headed out to Panther Island Ice.

"We've got a program going with Fort Worth ISD. We're actually providing a free morning of ice skating," Shanna Cate with Trinity River Vision explained.

Move over Fair Day, this special program gives 18 schools the chance to bring students to Funkytown's only outdoor skating rink.

Fort Worth Chamber and Bank of Texas have also chipped in for the cost of transportation to and from the rink. And Blue Zones Project - Fort Worth has donated healthy bites to help refuel these kids-on-ice.
