DALLAS — Another night, another batch of pilots reporting “laser strikes” while flying into Love Field, bringing the total to six in just two nights.

Yeah, lasers in real life may not work like do in Sci-Fi, but they can be extremely dangerous. And green lasers are the worst. The wavelength of green-colored light makes it appear way brighter to the human eye.

But hey, at least they’re hard to get, right? It’s not like you can just walk into a store and buy these things without even showing an ID. Oh wait, you can. Really?! You can’t even buy spray paint without showing an ID!

So, is #IDsForLasers the answer?

Either way, Dallas PD and the FAA are on the case. They’ll be up in the air this weekend looking for the culprits. And when they catch the idiots doing this, we’ll aim a spotlight on their mug shots.

By the way, this is a felony punishable by 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Yeah, the law doesn’t mess around with airplane safety!
