DALLAS -- Hey, it's Friday, which also means it's almost the end of Dirk Week.

But dry those eyes because there's still time left to worship the Big German, at least until Saturday. Fans gathered in Deep Ellum Friday morning for a pep rally in preparation for the Mavs game against the Lakers.

The location also served as the fifth clue in what's been a week long social media scavenger hunt tagged Dirk Week. The latest clue was provided by one of the Traveling Man statues.

If you've participated in each of the seven days, you'll be entered for a chance to meet and greet with Dirk himself. And right now, why wouldn't you?

After a satisfying win over the Clippers that included a 31 point, 11 rebound and five 3-pointers effort from Dirk, he's showing that even at age 37, he's not looking to slow down.

He's also shooting career highs in 2-pointers and 3-pointers, so far, this season. He looks even better when compared to another 37-year-old, Kobe Bryant, who the Mavs will see Friday night.

Adrian Garcia, one of the many Mavs fans in attendance at the pep rally Friday, is happy to see Dirk receive praise, "It's pretty awesome, he deserves this. He's a big timer over here and he's shown so much loyalty and done so much for the city."

So, for the guy who has a movie called The Perfect Shot, this appears to be the perfect time to appreciate all things Dirk.
