DALLAS, TX -- The wait is over.
After 17-years, legendary performer Garth Brooks is back, y’all! Seven shows, five days, one venue -- it all adds up to one rockin' county concert.
“Dallas and Fort Worth have always made us feel welcome," country superstar Garth Brook told Newsfix.
"We’re lucky to come here and get to play our music. Be it a place like Cowboys, or the old Texas Stadium or the old Reunion Arena, we’ve always felt at home here, and being an Okie, I never thought I’d get that reception, but I do, I feel some much at home here.”
Big D loves it some Garth. About 140,000-plus fans will fill the seats at the American Airlines Center during his five day run. That’s a whole lotta boots, folks.
"I can’t explain it, I’m just glad they’re showing up,” Brooks said.
What’s more, Garth’s girl, Miss Trisha Yearwood will join her hubby on stage; talk about a country two-step.
"I just want to say I’m excited to be here," Yearwood said. "I’m in the middle of a bunch of stuff, including a cooking show, so I wasn’t absolutely sure I was going to be in Dallas. My name wasn’t announced, but I’m here, and I happy to be here.”
Garth says he’ll bring back some of his classics and a new song from his latest album, Man Against Machine. Just don’t expect the same set every performance, he says he’ll keep it fresh and play to his audience.
In case you forgot, the man has a couple of double-headers during his run. But don’t worry, this cowboy is going full throttle… hey, blame it all on his roots.
"You don’t want anybody going, 'ahh, they’re coasting,' you want to go out and run them to death; it’s fun.”
