CINCINNATI, OH -- It's hard to believe the holidays are right around the corner! While most stores are starting their seasonal hiring, Macy's is making plans to do a little fall cleaning. Or rather, fall closing.
Yeah, the retailer is shutting down 40 stores by early next year. Macy's CEO says the move is just a way to weed out weaker performing stores. But in the past five years, Macy's has closed up shop at 52 locations.
Hey, the retail industry can be tough. One minute you're in and the next minute you're out.
No word yet if Macy's will close any of its 12 locations in North Texas.
We can only hope this small setback will mean even bigger sales when the holidays are here!
