OSKALOOSA, IOWA — Former New York Giants safety Tyler Sash was found dead Tuesday morning inside his Iowa home, according to WHO-TV.
Sash was just 27 years old. His cause of death has not been released.
Sash played safety for the Giants for two seasons and was a part of the 2011 Super Bowl-winning team that defeated the New England Patriots.
Originally from Oskaloosa, Iowa, Sash played for the University of Iowa Hawkeyes.
Sash had his fair share of troubles. He was suspended for four games in 2012 for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
He was also arrested last year in Iowa for public intoxication after trying to get away from cops on a scooter.
