LAS VEGAS — What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, unless it’s a plane going up in flames on the tarmac.

That’s exactly what happened Tuesday at McCarran Airport. People were forced to slide down emergency chutes and run for their lives!

The FAA says as the pilot was getting ready to take off, the left engine of the Boeing 777 caught on fire. Nearly 200 people were onboard. At least 13 people were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries from sliding down the chutes.

People sitting on other planes watched the horror unfold and social media lit up with pictures and video.
