Taylor Swift has been surprising audiences all week during five appearances at LA’s Staples Center, bringing out celebs to join her on stage — Mary J. Blige, Alannis Morrisette, St. Vincent, Ellen Degeneres, Beck, John Legend to name a few.

But she seems to have saved the best for last, inviting during her final night Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, and our fav, Lisa Kudrow’s Phoebe Buffay character from Friends.

In fan video, Taylor introduces Phoebe by saying, “This singer, she’s only ever played in coffee houses before. She’s never played in a big arena so please make her feel welcome.”

Whose name is the first you think of when you hear the phrase ‘coffee house singer?’

And then, Taylor reads our minds. “You guys, Miss Phoebe Buffay.”

Kudrow doesn’t miss a beat, coming out in character as Phoebe Buffay, guitar and all, and going right into Smelly Cat.

Smelly cat, smelly cat
What are they feeding you?
Smelly cat, smelly cat
It’s not your fault

Taylor begins the second verse beautifully. Or so we thought.

They won’t take you to the vet
You’re obviously not their favorite pet

In true Friends tradition, Phoebe has to stop Taylor and give her a little coaching.

“Um yeah.. that’s fine but.. you have to really feel the lyrics,” Phoebe says.

And the crowd goes wild. Definitely some Friends fans in attendance.

Taylor, apparently, really wants to nail this duet and asks, “Like.. um.. just.. like how?”

Phoebe shows her, repeating the words with conviction, and Taylor gets it. She’s ready to try again.

Taylor begins strumming and belts out the same verse, beautifully again, but maybe? with more emotion this time.

Perfection.

Phoebe moves in with the third verse.

You may not be a bed of roses
You’re not friend to those with noses

And finally, they join together. History in the making.

Smelly cat, smelly cat
It’s not your fault

And now, you’ve got this song stuck in your head. You’re welcome!

Wait. What? You’re not sure of the words? Oh, here you go:

Smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you?
Smelly cat, smelly cat it’s not your fault.

They won’t take you to the vet.
You’re obviously not their favorite pet.
You may not be a bed of roses,
And you’re no friend to those with noses.

Smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you?
Smelly cat, smelly cat it’s not your fault!
