ARLINGTON, TX --  Questions may surrounded his death, but there’s no question about how much Christian Taylor will be missed by his friends and family.

On Saturday, mourners and members of the community filled the Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington to pay their final respects. One week ago, the unarmed teen was shot and killed by rookie Arlington cop, Brad Miller.

The incident incited community reaction and swift action from APD. Earlier this week, Miller was fired for exercising what the police chief called “poor judgement.”

Chief Will Johnson said Miller was alone when he approached Christian inside the dealership. A grand jury will now decide if Miller should face criminal charges.taylor funeral 2

Meanwhile, a family is left mourning the loss of their son; a football team is coping with the absence of their teammate; and a community is collectively finding the strength to heal.
