DALLAS -- We might be nicknamed "The Dirty South," but Texans can be a little prudish when it comes to porn. But now, one of the nation's biggest sex expos in the nation is coming to the Big D.

Yeah, you've probably spotted the sex add on a billboard or two. Exxxotica starts August 7 at the Dallas Convention Center.

But a few folks are raising eyebrows at the event!

Starting with the Dallas Women's Foundation who wrote to Mayor Mike Rawlings, hoping to get the expo exiled!

The foundation says it's standing up for victims of sex trafficking in an effort to prevent future sex trade events in Dallas.

The mayor expressed his concern in a statement.

"Use of the Dallas Convention Center is subject to the First Amendment. Our city attorneys advise us that the city therefore cannot deny its use strictly based on the content of a planned event."

The non-profit New Friends New Life has also gathered over 3,000 signatures in an online petition,  hoping Exxxotica gets banned here in Dallas.

On the other hand, the three-day Sexpo will bring the hottest porn stars, exhibitors, job opportunities and a boost to the economy. Yeah, Exxxotica is expected to bring in nearly $1 million in local revenue.

In a statement from Exxxotica, the company claims they've produced several successful events, all without incident.

"We've worked diligently to make sure there are no unlawful activities to our events," Exxxotica said.
