STAMFORD, CT - A wrestling icon looks to be out for the count. Superstar Hulk Hogan is officially done with the WWE after stirring up a racial hornet`s nest.

It stems from audio in a tape 8 years ago in which Hogan uses the N-word. Transcript of the audio shows Hogan using the word in reference to a man involved with his daughter Brooke. The audio in question comes from a sex tape that`s the subject of a multimillion dollar lawsuit with Gawker.

Hogan released an official statement saying, "Eight years ago i used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it."

The WWE is currently putting as much distance between Hogan and itself as possible. He`s no longer listed on the WWE Hall of Fame page and all of his merchandise has been removed from their online shop.

So sorry Hulkamaniacs, doesn't look like the Hulkster's going to be able to get off the mat for this one.
