IRVING -- Cops are looking for the thieves who broke into a Valley Ranch home and took off with more than $3,000 in personal property. They were in and out in 10 minutes. And it's all caught on camera.

Irving PD says the family put up the cams when cops told them they might be a target after an arrest was made by another department in a string of home invasions.

“And from that arrest, they actually recovered a list of addresses all over the North Texas area, 16 of which were Irving addresses,” Officer James McLellan explained.

Irving police gave this family the heads up and they caught the crooks in action.

“Now we have not established that this is for sure a result of being on that list, but certainly the fact that it is gives us some added concern.”
