DALLAS -- What do you get when you mix makeup, a pink Cadillac, and thousands of your closest friends??
“We are so excited to have more than 27,000 women coming into Dallas to celebrate their successes over the last year at Mary Kay,” Sara Friedman, VP U.S. Marketing at Mary Kay, said with a smile.
That’s right! The annual Mary Kay Seminar is in town for the next three weeks. The event will spur over 2,000 jobs as well as bring $30 million to our local economy.
“We have more than 11 million social media fans, more than 2.2 million fans on Facebook in the U.S. alone,” Friedman added. “It is always such an energizing event to have all of our sales force in town.”
Folks like Mary Kay Independent Sales Director, Bianca Jackson.
“I decided to go to graduate school, and I figured, how am I going to pay for all these student loans?” Jackson laughed. “I work for a non-profit, and it was just a natural fit for me to pursue the business opportunity with a product that I love.”
This is powder with a purpose.
“Mary Kay has a long-standing history of putting an end to domestic violence and cancers that affect women. And we’re so pleased that we’re partnering with Suits for Shelters again, and asking women across the Dallas area to bring their gently used professional clothing so that we can help give it to others shelters and help women,” Friedman explained.
“This experience is amazing,” Jackson added. “They call our seminar hall the ‘The Hall of Dreams’ and that’s what it feels like!”
