DALLAS — Folks are probably used to big football games at the Cotton Bowl, but on Sunday the world famous stadium was a fútbol paradise!

Yeah, the SocioMX Cup finished up its final leg in Dallas! The Cup brings four of the top Mexican teams to States: Pumas, Cruz Azul, Monterrey and Morelia!

For these fútbol fanatics, it was a unique chance to see their favorite clubs in person!

“I’ve seen them like three times over here,” said Pumas supporter Martin Cruz. “Probably in the last two years this is the first time. Joining together with the rest of the fans over here, it’s wonderful, man!”

Chip Osuna, a Cruz Azul supporter whose cousin plays on the squad, thinks the matches can also help invigorate the local soccer landscape.

“I think it’s a good opportunity for Mexico teams to come out here and the MLS see some of these players as well.”

Hey, soccer is great for a lot of reasons; the athleticism, skill, endurance, and simple thrill of seeing a goal. But no doubt, it’s the passion of die-hards like these that make it the most popular sport on Earth!
