DALLAS–Remember that great unlimited data plan you used to have with AT&T?

Turns out, it wasn’t so unlimited after all. The feds are fining AT&T $100 million, claiming the company:

  • Misled customers on those data plans
  • Throttled the speed when customers used too much data
  • Didn’t tell customers about the reduced speed.

AT&T plans to fight the fine, but if the communications giant ends up paying, can you expect a piece of that hundred mil?

Ha! That’s a good one!

All that money will go into the U.S. Treasury.

CaptureAT&T doesn’t offer unlimited plans any more, but
some customers who’ve had it for years are grandfathered in the old plan.

Hey, AT&T, and every other business that serves
the public: unlimited means unlimited!

AT&T is based in downtown Dallas.
