ADDISON, TX - We`ve all been there before, caught in the dreaded speed trap. that`s usually when most people just follow instructions.
But during a traffic stop last month Scott Richardson proved he isn`t most people. When he got pulled over he had some tough questions for the Addison cop, “What right do you have to stop another man?”
Richardson even attempted school the cop on Texas law but came up a little short. Maybe he needs to brush up on that law book.
But after a while of back and forth the officer lost his patience, “Open your window now or I`m going to bust it out!”
That’s when Scott gives us the play-by-play, 'I am asking him for his supervisor, I am asking you for your supervisor. OK officer I am asking you for your supervisor to come out here. Now you have busted my vehicle up and now you are going to detain me, you are illegally getting into my vehicle and now you have taken.”
Mr. Richardson was booked and charged with driving with a license invalid, having an expired license plate and failure to present his driver`s license upon lawful demand.
Perhaps this is one lesson in Texas law he won`t forget anytime soon.
