FRISCO, TX - Get ready for a rush of adrenaline, fuel and a little bit of Nitro! Yeah, the world famous Nitro Circus is coming to Toyota Stadium in Frisco on May 23.

“It is the largest action sports show in the world, jam-packed full of things you’ve probably never seen before,” said one of the riders in the show, Jolene Van Vugt.

Yeah, and something you may not have seen before is someone like Jolene. She’s one of only two female riders in the Nitro Circus, but she’s never let gender define her or box her in.

“Lyn-Z and I, she’s the other female that’s in the show. To us, it’s just what we love to do,” said Jolene. “We grew up that way. It’s not really something we look at as being the only females. We are just there like everybody else, just trying to be the best that we can be, trying to push our sport, trying to push ourselves.”

Well, Jolene has definitely pushed herself to the top! She was the first female to ever backflip a full-sized dirt bike. Since then, she’s backflipped into the Grand Canyon, owns the world record for the longest female backflip.

Oh, and she also has the world record for the fastest land speed on a motorized toilet!

But despite years of the experience, the thrills never wear off for this daredevil.

“Before a show or before any type of stunts of tricks, I always get so nervous and I’m like, 'why do I keep doing this to myself?!' I do what I need to do," Jolene said. "And it’s done, and there’s the relief and the excitement and that moment right there. I’m like, that’s why I do what I do!”

Well, keep on doing it. And mark your calendars for the 23rd to see this extreme chick lay down the stunts!
