ARLINGTON, TX - We don't have beaches in North Texas, but 30 dump trucks just delivered three-million pounds of sand right next to the Ranger's ballpark.

The City of Arlington invited Dorothy and the Wicked Witch to announce their "Fantasy in Sand" attraction.  The summer-long event features sand art scenes from Wizard Of Oz.

“We definitely reached out and made it our mission to bring into Arlington because we are a family friendly destination and we thought it was perfect fit for us,” Decima Cooper with Arlington Convention and Visitors Bureau explained.

International sand artists will recreate 20 feet tall sculptures and they've only got two weeks to do it.

People can catch the artistry in work starting May 22. It will end in August with a tribute to "America the Beautiful."

The experience will also include a Texas-sized sandbox.

And don't worry about melting like the Wicked Witch in the Texas heat, the wonderland will  be covered by an air-conditioned tent.

Yeah, this seems like a pretty cool way to enjoy your summer vacay!
