Red Light Cameras

AUSTIN–It’s less than a month ’til Arlington voters will decide whether red light cameras should be illegal.

But ban supporters like Kelly Canon have taken their fight to the next level.

On Tuesday, they were in Austin, as the state senate transportation held a public hearing on red light cameras.

Several Texas cities were represented. They say the red light cameras make intersections safer.

Canon and other opponents of red light cameras say they’re just a way for cities to make more money.

On Tuesday, the senate committee passed the ban and sent it to the full senate.

February 10, 2015-Arlington voters will decide whether to ban red light cameras.
