EUGENE, Ore. — There’s a lesson to be learned: never celebrate too early.

Over the weekend, The Pepsi Team Invitational in Eugene, Oregon, featured runners from Oregon, Kentucky and Washington. During the men’s steeplechase, Tanguy Pepiot thought he had the race won.

As he approached the finish line, he began celebrating his victory. Washington’s Meron Simon made a last second push and was able to secure the victory.
