DENTON -  Cops from all over North Texas showed up with their K-9 partners to UNT's Discovery Park Tuesday.

Some have been walking the beat on all fours for years. Others are rookies and still a bit rough.

But it wasn't all barking and biting. Officer Aaron News from Wichita Falls has been partnered with Turco for three years now.

Turco and the rest of the pack practiced agility, investigation training and worked to master the art of apprehending the bad guy -- which is key to police work.

In the end, they'll all get certified or re-certified to serve in the line of duty.

Yep, their bark is way worse that their bite. For these guys, it's a labor of love with man's best friend.
