DALLAS, TX — The Big 12 Women’s Basketball Championship is going hard at the A-A-C, and fans of all ages were turning out to take in the action, but it also sets up an amazing opportunity for young female fans to see their college idols dominate on the hardwood.

“This is our third year and we go to the Baylor games and the UT games,” fan Angela Allen said. “So, we just really wanted to bring her this time and have her enjoy seeing the older girls play basketball.”

For some of young ballers, it’s already their dream to take the court.

“I want to go play Baylor basketball when I grow up," pint-sized Bear fan, Kaitlin Jones said.

“She loves basketball,”her grandmother added. "Yesterday, she spent two hours out there in the fan fest!”

It doesn’t hurt to have a big sis who plays. One young fan's sister, Rylie Swanson, suits up for the Oklahoma State Cowgirls.

“It’s very important socially for them, let alone the physical actives of it,” Rylie's mother, Leeta Grimsley said.  “Just to be part of a team and get out there and enjoy it.”
