DALLAS — Zydeco music, crawfish, and tons of beads! Smells like Fat Tuesday!

“It’s going to be a fun night all day long,” Andy Bayne, General Manager at Half Shells said.

“The crawfish and the oysters, what else!” Jeff Swindle mentioned.

And while Mardi Gras is in full swing in NOLA, DFW knows how to laissez les bon temps rouler, too!

“Of course! Any reason to celebrate,” Swindle laughed.

“It’s like a Mardi Gras feel here. They’ve got the beads, and it’s better than not going at all,” Gabriella Rodriguez said.

“It’s probably the busiest day of the year for us,” Samantha Mirche, General Manager at Razzoo’s said.

Ragin’ Cajun restaurants in the area partied all day Tuesday.

“Every year! This would be our 20th year,” Bayne said.  “We have Lone Wolf playing today, we have a couple hundred pounds of crawfish, we’re going to have some New Orleans BBQ shrimp, redfish Lafayette, pecan-crusted Mahi-Mahi.”

“Our entire staff is dressed in costume. We’re giving out beads,” Mirche said.  “We have some awesome specials going on today; we have $4 frozen hurricanes.”

You had us at hurricane! But don’t you need a pass from class or work to party hearty during lunch?

“I’m taking a little bit of a longer break today, yes, but I’ll work later to make up for it,” Swindle said.

“We’re in from out of town, so we’re going to celebrate today,” Rodriguez said.

Sounds good to us! Hey, throw us something mister!
