DALLAS, TX -- Hey folks, if you live near Cityplace in Dallas, then it’s safe to say your Sunday funday will rock.

Okay, we’re not talking about an uber awesome brunch. Nope, we’re talking about an implosion in your neighborhood.

Did we mention this controlled demolition will happen at 8AM?  Yeah, so much for sleeping in; you can thank the folks over at the Trammell Crow Company.

Oh, here’s something else to keep in mind. The streets in that area, to include both directions of Central Expressway, will shutdown to traffic for the event.

So, why all the ruckus? Well, the developer will blow-up the old Xerox building to make way for the area’s proposed, newest neighbor – a Sam’s Club.

We know, it’s exactly what folks living in the community wanted to hear. For months, neighbors have fought to keep the big box store out of its community, but it looks like those plans might have imploded.

Trammell Crow is set on clearing the land, even though the company has yet to clear the courts to move forward with consturction.

Well, like it or not – things will certainly boom come morning.  The good news? The company says the implosion does not pose a risk to people or property in the area.
