FRISCO, TX - The home stretch is quickly approaching for hockey season!

Yeah, with the All Star Game now over,  the NHL’s second half is officially underway.

On Monday, the Stars hit the ice as they gear up for another playoff run.

“The next two months, you pretty much play every other day,” said Stars center Jason Spezza, “It’s going to be a grind; it’s nice to kind of start it off with a few days to kind of decompress and get the body feeling good, and now we really hit the home stretch.

The Stars are currently four points back in the post-season chase. So what does the squad need to do to find their way back to the Stanley Cup playoffs?

“I’m still going to start with keeping the goals against down, and playing well defensively,” said head coach Lindy Ruff, “Making sure the number of big mistakes is at a minimum, which we’ve done a lot better job at considering where we started the season.”

One noticeable absence at practice was Tyler Seguin.

Yeah he put on a show Sunday night, scoring two goals in the All Star Game in Columbus, and now he’s airport hopping, trying to avoid the Northeast blizzard to meet the team in Montreal!

Stay back Mother Nature! The Stars need him!
